Ahead of this weekend’s La Liga match against FC Barcelona, Joao Felix wanted to analyze Atletico Madrid’s chances to win on Saturday.

With Luis Suarez completely out of the game against FC Barcelona, Joao Felix is one of the last hopes the Colchoneros have left for Saturday. The youngster has been one of the best players in the Spanish La Liga during the current season. It is widely believed that the Portugal international has been the most consistent and prolific player above anybody else.

But now we get to watch him enduring a test that will give us a better grasp of how much he’s improved since he came from Benfica. FC Barcelona is set to visit the Metropolitano in the most important match of the weekend for Spanish football. This is an ideal day to see if Atletico Madrid is truly a title contender for the season.

With both the Blaugrana and Real Madrid playing below their expected level, the Colchoneros are the ones who can take the lead this season. Joao Felix is currently at the top of the goal-scoring table with Luis Suarez, but he will face Barcelona without his partner.

Joao expects to make a great effort vs Barcelona.

During an interview on Atletico Madrid’s website, Joao Felix analyzed the upcoming match against the Blaugrana.

“We are coming in a good moment and very motivated for this match. I believe we are doing things right and we’ve had some very good results. Everybody knows that Barcelona loves having possession of the ball. They spend a long time with the ball and that will make us run a little more than usual. But we will implement our style of play in order to deliver a good performance.

“These big matches against great clubs are the ones we love playing. We are prepared to play and enjoy to the fullest. This season started well and I’m doing okay. I will keep working in order to make things happen and I can bring joy to all the Atletico Madrid supporters. We miss our fans, I hope they can return soon.”
