The Man Utd winger has fallen out of favour under Erik ten Hag.

Jadon Sancho will reportedly stay at Manchester United despite a late approach from Saudi Arabian club Al Ettifaq.

Sancho has dominated the headlines in the English media after a recent rift with Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag. On Wednesday, reports emerged of Sancho’s possible departure in a shock move to Saudi Arabia. However, it seems that Al Ettifaq have failed to complete a move for the England international.

According to Fabrizio Romano, sources close to the player have confirmed the deal is not happening as Sancho is set to stay at Old Trafford.

The winger was not a part of Man Utd’s squad for their 3-1 defeat against Arsenal last weekend. After the match, Ten Hag revealed that Sancho’s absence was due to his poor performance in training.

The manager’s comments triggered a response from Sancho, who claimed he was being used as a “scapegoat”. The back-and-forth revealed the relationship between Sancho and Ten Hag has only worsened in recent weeks.

Last season, Ten Hag exiled the former Borussia Dortmund star from his squad for almost three months. Sancho trained individually but returned to United’s matchday squad in February.

If Sancho’s situation at the club doesn’t improve during the first half of the current campaign, we could expect more clubs to join the transfer race for the 23-year-old.
