James Rodriguez has communicated his desire of playing in the English top-flight while discussing his future away from Real Madrid.

Uncertainty continues to surround the future of James Rodriguez, who has entered the final year of his contract at Real Madrid.

Rodriguez made just 14 appearances across all competitions in 2019-20. And it is clear that the midfielder, who arrived at Santiago Bernabeu after starring in the 2014 World Cup, is no longer a valuable asset in the eyes of Zinedine Zidane.

Real Madrid, hence, reportedly wants him out this summer. Various landing spots have been mooted for him with interest reported from Arsenal, Everton, and local rivals Atletico Madrid.

In an interview with motivational speaker Daniel Habif, the 29-year old insists he himself is yet unaware of what lies ahead of him.

“I’ve already been in several good leagues and the only thing missing is Serie A and the Premier League. Going to England would be a good thing, it’s a top league,” he said.

“I too would like to know where I am going. It may take days or weeks until I know where I am going.

“I want to go where I can play, where I am happy, and where I feel loved by the whole world.”
