The Catalans might add a new midfielder to their ranks this winter.
Wolves captain Ruben Neves has reacted to reports about his possible move to Barcelona.
Neves was among Barca’s midfield targets last summer, but the Catalans failed to sign him during their busy transfer window.
Since joining Wolves from Porto in 2017, the Portuguese star has developed into a crucial player at Molineux.
His performances this season have reportedly convinced Barca to make another push to sign him this winter. With Neves being tied to a Wolves contract until 2024, it won’t be an easy deal for Barca.
But the Portugal international’s latest remarks show he’s not opposed to the transfer himself.
“Who wouldn’t want to try Barcelona? I think it’s a common question for all players,” Neves told Portuguese broadcaster Canal 11.
“It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world. Of course, it’s always a privilege for me to be associated with clubs of this calibre.”
He added: “I’m going to do my job here and I’m sure I have people working with me. I trust these people a lot for these situations.
“I have to focus as much as I can on Wolves. Having a good time here, things will come naturally.”
