Paris Saint-Germain have signed several superstars and now they must focus on “building a team”, says Mauricio Pochettino.
Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, and Georginio Wijnaldum are the fresh faces added to the star-studded Paris Saint-Germain squad this summer.
Messi is yet to make his debut but the team has fared well so far without him, with three wins out of three in the new league campaign.
The Ligue 1 giants have had no problem in finding the back of the net, having scored 10 goals in those three matches. However, their defense appears to be unstable, with five goals conceded already – more than any other side in the top half of the table.
“It won’t be easy. We have to find a balance between the talents that we have. It will take time,” Pochettino told reporters after PSG’s 4-2 win against Brest on Friday, per Goal.
“We are at the start of the season, we can see how difficult it is for all the teams to win a game.
“There are things to improve in attack and defence. We need more offensive automatisms to create spaces against low blocks. In defence, we have to prevent the transition play which can hurt. ‘
