A Spanish journalist claims Los Blancos securing the signature of a certain French forward is imminent.
“It is a fact” Kylian Mbappe will move to Real Madrid this summer, according to Siro Lopez.
Mbappe has been on Real Madrid’s wishlist for quite a while now, with reports linking him to the Spanish capital dating all the way back to his Monaco days.
The 22-year-old recently revealed he even had a chance to join the record 13-time Champions League winners when he was just 14 years old but turned it down.
Uncertainty currently surrounds his future as the World Cup winner continues to delay signing a contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain despite approaching the final year of his current deal. PSG risk losing their prized asset for free next summer, and it has been reported they would be willing to cash in on him this summer.
“Real Madrid will sign Mbappe this summer. This is not an opinion, it is a fact,” claimed Spanish journalist Lopez on his Twitch channel, as per Defense Central.
“It will be some time before it becomes official, maybe until August,” he added. “Real Madrid know that it has to reach a friendly agreement with PSG.”
