Referee Valeri got injured and he was replaced with more than ten minutes left on the clock. As the game was coming to an end, Antonio Conte gave Eriksen a few minutes to play. The Danish midfielder was the man who scored the winning goal through a beautiful free-kick with only a couple of minutes left on the clock. Inter Milan get their semifinal ticket by eliminating AC Milan.
