Jean-Michel Aulas has established that there is no truth to reports connecting Lucas Paqueta with a transfer to Olympique Lyon.

Reports have surfaced in Italian media in the past few weeks that Lucas Paqueta has been deemed surplus to requirements at AC Milan.

It is said that Paqueta, who arrived from the Brazilian side Flamengo for a figure close to €40 million, has failed to make much impression in his one and a half years at San Siro. The Rossoneri, therefore, have put him on the transfer market as they hope to cash in on him this summer.

Olympique Lyon emerged as a leading candidate to land the 23-year old attacking midfielder.

The rumors initiated in Italy and eventually spread to France. L’Equipe recently claimed that Lyon are holding talks with Milan to secure his transfer for about €27 million.

However, it did not take long for the rumors to reach the ears of president Jean-Michel Aulas, and he did not hesitate to invalidate them.

“What inaccuracies, false information,” the French businessman wrote in a Twitter post, calling out journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi⁩.

“It is sad when you know the reality of seeing so many improbabilities, on the part of the L’Equipe!”
