Miralem Pjanic is keen to make his first season at Barca a memorable one, with LaLiga, Champions League, and Copa del Rey success in sight.

FC Barcelona announced the signing of Miralem Pjanic from Juventus for a reported €60 million in June, with the player signing a four-year deal with the club.

Arthur Melo moved the other way as a part of the transfer, with both the deals coming into effect after the end of the 2019/20 season.

Pjanic had to wait a while before joining his new teammates as he went into a quarantine period on August 23 after being tested positive for COVID-19, and was only then allowed to fly to Spain.

The Bosnian midfielder made his debut in Barca’s 1-0 win over Elche in the Joan Gamper Trophy and is expected to play his first competitive match in his side’s La Liga 2020/21 season opener against Villarreal over the weekend.

“I’m here to win. The objective is to compete in all the competitions, to get to March physically well and with all the players available. This way, all of the competitions can be attacked,” Pjanic laid out his ambitions, speaking to the club’s official website.

“The league is very important, the Copa del Rey too, and the Champions League is everyone’s dream”

“I will be part of this team and I will try to do my best to be available throughout the year.”
