Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to miss out when AC Milan and former side Manchester United face-off in the Europa League.

Ibrahimovic was the center of discussion after Milan were drawn against Manchester United in the Europa League.

Asides the prospect of two ‘fallen’ giants coming head to head, it also meant a certain big Swede will come up against his former side.

The stage was set for a blockbuster tie but the fixture could yet lose a big part of its glamour.

Following another injury setback, Ibrahimovic is set to miss out for a while and will be reassessed in the next 10 days.

As per Sky Sport Italia, he will miss his side’s next four games for sure, including the first leg Europa outing against Manchester United on March 11.

Ibrahimovic will also miss games against Udinese, Hellas Verona and Napoli.

If there is no further complication to the injury, there is a slight chance he could return just in time to face the Red Devils in the second leg. If not, he would miss that tie as well.

It is a big blow for Pioli who would now be without his side’s top scorer with 16 goals so far this season across all competitions.

Interestingly, Ibrahimovic is yet to score in the Europa League this term and now faces the danger of ‘ending’ the campaign without doing so.
