Despite his impressive performances of late, Mikel Arteta says Bukayo Saka is still aiming to be better on the pitch.

It’s hard to remember Bukayo Saka is still only a teenager.

The 19-year-old has been the shining light for the Gunners in a season where they have under-performed.

So far, Saka has six goals and seven assists for Arsenal this season. That tally means only Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has more goal contributions for the Gunners than the youngster this term.

Even on days when the youngster fails to score, he still finds a way to impact the game by far.

Aubameyang might have scored two goals, including the match-winner but Saka was the standout winner as Arsenal beat Benfica 3-2 on Thursday night. The youngster made two assists and was awarded the man of the match for his performances.

Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s league clash with Leicester City, Mikel Arteta was full of praises for the youngster.

“How good can he be is a question nobody can answer.” he said to the club’s website.

“How good he is and how good he wants to be, that is probably where we can find a lot of answers for why he is doing so well.”

“He is a boy that is constantly willing to learn, to get better, to work on the things he can do better and he is a very humble and hard working boy. When that happens normally, and you have the talent he has, you can go a long way.”
