The Blues star aimed a dig at Burnley after seeing his side lose two valuable points in a 1-1 draw in the Premier League.

Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz has claimed Burnley are ‘not a team that wants to play football’.

The German made this remark after the Clarets held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge. He scored the first goal of the game by heading home Reece James’ cross. However, even though the home side dominated possession and 25 shots on goal, Burnley scrapped a point.

Matej Vydra scored a 79th-minute equalizer to earn Sean Dyche’s resilient side a stalemate in west London.

“In the last seven matches, I think we were very good, including today,” Havertz told NBC Sports.

“We knew that Burnley are not a team that wants to play football. But yeah, they had one chance and scored a goal. We had a lot of chances but also scored just one goal, so we lost two big points. Of course, it’s frustrating.”

Chelsea return to action on November 20 away to Leicester City after the international break. The Blues remain in first place in the Premier League table on 26 points from 11 games.
