The England international edges closer to leaving Spurs for Bayern.

Harry Kane has reportedly turned down a lucrative new contract offer from Tottenham.

Tottenham is understandably eager to secure Kane’s future, as they risk losing him for nothing in 2024 if a new deal isn’t agreed upon soon.

Bayern Munich have intensified their efforts to sign Kane as their new No.9 this summer. It seems that Tottenham’s last-ditch effort to sign a contract extension with the England captain has failed.

According to the Times, Kane has “no intention” of signing a new deal at Tottenham.

Despite Tottenham’s efforts to keep him, Kane is apparently set on seeking new horizons. The striker has reportedly declined all offers from his current club, including their latest attempt to increase his weekly wage to over £300,000.

Bayern Munich have stayed as the favourites to secure Kane’s services ahead of the next season. The German giants are expected to table a third bid for the 29-year-old in the coming days. So far, Tottenham has rejected offers of up to £68.5 million from Bayern, holding out for a fee closer to £100 million.

Earlier this week, Bayern’s honorary president Uli Hoeness expressed his confidence in the club’s chances of completing Kane’s transfer.

“Harry Kane has clearly signalled in all conversations that his decision stands – and if he keeps to his word, then we’ll get him, because then Tottenham will have to buckle,” Hoeness told Sport1.

“He wants to play internationally and luckily for us Tottenham will not be active internationally next year.”
