A man in high demand, the Norwegian could jump ships in the summer with BVB at risk of missing out on the Champions League next season.

Erling Haaland should snub Manchester City in favor of Manchester United if both come calling for him, believes Liverpool legend Didi Hamann.

Hamann supports his statement by arguing that Man United’s fast-paced style of play as compared to Man City’s gradual build-up approach is more well-suited to Haaland.

Despite being only 20 years of age, the striker has reached 100 career goals. In fact, he reached triple figures in just 146 games – much quicker than the likes of Lionel Messi (201), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (245), and Cristiano Ronaldo (301).

The Norwegian goal machine has suitors from around Europe, and both the Manchester giants reportedly make that list.

The Sky Blues view him as an ideal successor to an aging Sergio Aguero while the Red Devils are keen on having a prolific presence upfront.

“I don’t think Haaland is a Manchester City player. I can’t see him joining Man City and I’m not sure whether City will be interested in him,” Hamann told Stadium Astro.

“Pep [Guardiola] has got rid of some center-forwards in the past. The way they play, they like to pass the ball around, I’m not sure whether Haaland would suit Man City or fit in there.

“At Manchester United, they have so many quick players and like to counter-attack, I think Haaland will suit United a lot better than City.

“Can United get him in the summer? I think there might be a situation in the summer if Dortmund miss out on the Champions League, where they might have to sell Haaland and [Jadon] Sancho. I think they could both go in the summer.”
