After Jadon Sancho’s move to Manchester United became official, Erling Haaland sent his now-former Borussia Dortmund teammate a message.

Erling Haaland has wished Jadon Sancho all the best after his now-former Borussia Dortmund teammate joined Manchester United.

The Red Devils ended a year-long pursuit of Sancho by confirming a £73 million (€85m) deal on Friday. The winger joins on a five-year contract until 2026, with an option for another 12 months included.

The move brings an end to Sancho’s four-season spell in the Bundesliga and his partnership with Haaland. The duo often terrorized German defenses in their time together. In just 46 games alongside each other, Haaland scored 40 goals and supplied 11 assists. Sancho, on the other hand, managed 18 goals and 21 assists.

But all good things must come to an end someday, and Haaland wishes his former teammate nothing but the best.

“Good luck on your next journey bro, we had some good times together! Can’t wait to see you shine!” he posted on Instagram.

Sancho is set to join his new United teammates for training in the first week of August. The 21-year-old is currently on a three-week summer holiday following his involvement in England’s Euro 2020 campaign.

He could make his United debut in the club’s final friendly against Everton at Old Trafford on August 7.
