The Norwegian starlet concedes his side needs to raise their game if they are to successfully take down the Spanish giants in Europe.

Erling Haaland has issued a call for improvement to Borussia Dortmund ahead of the upcoming Champions League Round of 16 first-leg showdown against Sevilla.

Dortmund, who were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Hoffenheim in their most recent outing, have managed a single win in their previous six Bundesliga games.

Edin Terzic replaced Lucien Favre in the managerial seat back in December but so far he has been unable to produce a turnaround at Westfalenstadion.

The Black and Yellows are increasingly losing ground in the race to finish in a top-four spot as they sit at sixth with 33 points from 21 league matches.

A daunting task now awaits as they prepare to face six-time European Champions Sevilla away from home on Wednesday.

”Sevilla are a strong team that have won the Europa League several times,” Haaland, who scored an 81st-minute equalizer to avoid a second successive defeat for his side on Saturday, told Sky Germany.

“We just have to get back in shape and do our best on the pitch to have a chance. If we play like we did in the last few games, we don’t stand a chance.”
