Having enjoyed a stellar rise to prominence, the Norwegian hitman is said to be a subject of transfer interest from many European giants.

Thomas Tuchel has chosen to remain coy about Chelsea’s transfer plans for when the transfer market reopens in the summer.

Chelsea spent significantly during the previous summer to reinforce their squad – and they are not done yet if rumors are to be believed.

The Blues are linked with the signing of Erling Haaland, who has made a name for himself as one of the world’s most prolific players ever since joining Borussia Dortmund.

Another Bundesliga star, Dayot Upamecano, is also understood to be on the radar of the London side. Upamecano is one of the most sought-after players in Europe having built his reputation as a solid and reliable defender with RB Leipzig.

“I can understand the interest in the question and the interest of every fan and supporter to talk about these subjects,” Tuchel said in response to the Haaland and Upamecamo transfer rumors in a press conference, via Football London.

“I am always a fan and am interested in what’s going on. But now it is February and there is long way to go.

“As you get to know me, you will know I will not talk about other players who are under contract. This is the type of respect I show. Everything else will be decided behind closed doors. I’m sorry.”
