After Manchester City’s victory against Wolves, Pep Guardiola revealed the only concern he has despite getting to 21 consecutive victories.

Even though Pep Guardiola already got to 21 straight wins with Manchester City, he can’t keep thinking about stats. This stage of the season is the most important for any club regardless of their results. The Citizens can easily get distracted and not reach the high expectations they set for themselves due to their recent form. Most of us think they are pretty much Premier League champions, this season became important for different aspects.

Pep Guardiola is now chasing a level of excellence he only reached at FC Barcelona during his debut as a manager. It’s still possible for them to win all the trophies they fight for until the end of the season. However, any type of distraction can make things go to waste. For Pep’s own good, his best approach is to continue with the idea that Manchester City hasn’t won anything yet.

All Pep cares about is Manchester United.

With the Manchester Derby about to take place over the weekend, Guardiola knows he probably has the title in the bag. However, getting to Johan Cruyff’s 26-match record has to be more important to him at this point. With perfection in mind, Pep is doing his best to keep motivating his players in order to keep those victories coming. “Manchester United. That’s all we care [about now],” said Pep via Sky Sport.

“The champions are Liverpool, the crown belongs to them. We are in the best position right now to take them out and we are going to try, but they are the champions. There are 33 points to play for. Tomorrow our opponents will play, we have one or two days off and then we prepare for Manchester United at home. We are in a really good position – I did not expect to be in this position two or three months ago – but we need to be calm and compete like we did today.”
