After last Wednesday’s victory against Burnley, Pep Guardiola revealed he is still unhappy with Man City’s level of performance this season.

Pep Guardiola thinks Man City can still improve in a massive way this season, he isn’t happy despite the team’s recent form. For the first time in the Premier League era, an English club has won a total of 13 consecutive matches in all competitions. Plus, they haven’t been defeated in a total of 20 games so far.

Regardless of the obvious improvement, Pep Guardiola knows that his players need to improve a lot more if they want to win the Champions League. Because make no mistake, the Citizens’ ultimate goal is to win the continental tournament this season. That is the pending assignment Pep Guardiola still has as Manchester City’s boss. After winning at Burnley, he wanted to remind his players they can still improve.

Guardiola, the perfectionist.

As per BBC Sports, Guardiola was questioned if the Citizens could still improve this season: “A lot. Today we lost some simple balls, that is the only thing I am concerned about. I am asking them to do effort and the simple things well, we are trying. Today more than usual we lose simple balls, but in general I am satisfied, because we continue to be solid and create enough chances. Knowing that coming here, against Burnley away, it is always difficult.

“Today we did it again really well. We can do better, but in general I don’t have regrets. The players are human beings and are fantastic. We were lucky to score early, after that the first time we started to break the lines. The first pass, the second half was much better, the first 15 minutes of the second half was the best. It’s always a good result here, Burnley away. So everyone knows how difficult it is, and we didn’t concede many chances again and created clear chances to score. I am satisfied.”
