Ahead of Manchester City’s upcoming match against PSG, Pep Guardiola offered some insight into the process before this crucial game. 

Pep Guardiola has his players ready for the second leg semifinal between Manchester City and PSG at Etihad Stadium. During the first game at Parc des Princes, the Citizens defeated the French giants with a brilliant second half. But Pep Guardiola knows that eliminating Mauricio Pochettino’s squad will be incredibly difficult. In his press conference ahead of the game, Pep Guardiola explained what he does in order to motivate all his players.

Rather than talking to them about the rival in turn, Pep prefers talking to them about what they need to improve about their game. The gaffer also spoke about Kylian Mbappe’s inclusion in the game and the chances of him missing the game. Pep wants Manchester City to face the best PSG squad possible, this includes Mbappe. 

Guardiola’s way to motivate his players. 

When asked about his tactics to motivate his players, Guardiola made some interesting revelations. ESPN picked up the following statement: “Just focus on what we have to do, I didn’t speak one word about them. They can change shape, their manager is so clever.

“It’s the first time most of us are here. I know what we’re playing for. In these games you don’t need much emotions. Be calm and know what you have to do. I don’t have to tell anyone, the players, backroom, staff, cooks, everyone knows how important it is. Mbappe going to play. And I’m looking forward to him playing. For the football, for the game itself, I hope he can play.”
