A striker-less Sky Blues side were once again ruthless in front of goal as they put five past their Saturday’s opponents.

The Premier League match between Manchester and Arsenal at the Etihad was more of a mismatch as the hosts humiliated the visitors 5-0.

Man City scored twice in just the opening 12 minutes, with Ilkay Gundogan heading in to hand his side the lead and Ferran Torres doubling their advantage with an easy finish.

If the goings weren’t tough enough already for them, Arsenal were reduced to 10 men 10 minutes before the break when Granit Xhaka received a straight red card following a shocking challenge on Joao Cancelo.

Gabriel Jesus and Rodri got on the scoresheet as well after the break while Ferran Torres completed his brace in the final few minutes to seal the dominant victory.

“The first time we arrived in the Arsenal half we scored,” Guardiola spoke to the BBC MOTD after the full-time whistle.

“We had problems in the first 15-20 minutes in our build up play. After 2-0 and sending off, the game is completely different.

“We are still in the process of improving – like I said to the players after the game. It was nice winning today but we have to be better.”
