Mikel Arteta’s side narrowly avoided walking empty-handed from the Emirates on Sunday, thanks to a last-gasp equalizer.

Arsenal were “shocking” and “dreadful” against Fulham and were “a bit lucky” to salvage a draw, says Roy Keane in his scathing attack on Mikel Arteta’s side.

Arsenal entered the Fulham game with oozing confidence, having recorded back-to-back dominant wins.

However, they looked unconvincing for the majority of the 90 minutes of the Premier League match at the Emirates. The hosts trailed to Josh Maja’s penalty until late in stoppage time before substitute Eddie Nketiah struck home the equalizer and rescued a point.

The 1-1 draw could prove to be real hindrance to the Gunners’ hopes of playing in Europe the next season as they sit down at ninth in the league standings with six games left to play.

“Arsenal were dreadful. I can’t believe how bad Arsenal were. But they probably just about deserved it,” Keane said on Sky Sports.

“I don’t know if Fulham deserved too much more than that. I thought they were poor. I know they’re fighting for their lives but the lack of quality from both teams was dreadful.

“Arsenal were even worse. God help Arsenal going forward. I thought they were shocking, dreadful, no quality, and they got a bit lucky in the end.

“Arsenal. . . my goodness.”
