National team coaches converse with their club counterparts but Ryan Giggs has no such relationship with Zinedine Zidane.
Gareth Bale is the undisputed star of the Welsh national team. The attacker will be lining up for Wales against Finland and Bulgaria for their Nations League fixtures.
Bale has not featured regularly for Real Madrid but was still called-up by Ryan Giggs. It does not concern the manager so much but he admitted he keeps tabs on the situation.
“I’m just monitoring the situation,” Marca quoted Giggs.
“When Gareth gets on camp, I will speak to him like I always do.”
Giggs has confidence in his abilities and it has not been deterred by Zinedine Zidane’s continued disrespect of Bale. Infact, there is no communication between the two tacticians.
The Manchester United legend shared that he has no contact with the Real Madrid boss over Gareth Bale.
Giggs coyly attributed this to his poor French and Spanish language skills. However, he also made a sly dig at the French legend’s poor English speaking skills.
“I haven’t spoken to Zidane,” Giggs commented. “My French and Spanish isn’t too good.
“That’s my way out of that one. I know Zidane’s English isn’t very good from experience.”
