Steven Gerrard is back in the Premier League and is already imposing his authority with a ketchup ban at Aston Villa.

Here comes Steven Gerrard, as the former Liverpool legend has already introduced a ketchup ban at Aston Villa. He also discussed his relationship with the current Reds manager, Jurgen Klopp, as he settles back in the Premier League.

Just like him, Antonio Conte is another manager who has reportedly implemented certain rules regarding food items in the English top-flight.

Gerrard has brought much experience and quality to his new club following his successful run with the Scottish champions, Rangers.

When quizzed whether ketchup is allowed at Villa Park, the 41-year-old said: “It was banned before I had seen it!

“The players have to have the right mentality. Go above and beyond. They need to strive to be elite.”

The new Villa boss will manage his first game as his side visit Brighton on Saturday before games against Crystal Palace, Manchester City, Leicester, and Liverpool.

On December 11, Gerrard will walk the grounds at Anfield and will be meeting the Merseyside boss, Klopp.

On that, he said: “I’ve been in touch with Klopp, I bump into him when he walks his dogs.

“He sent me a message saying he is ‘looking forward to a big hug on the side’ when Villa play Liverpool next month.”
