Let’s see how Germany played against the Czech Republic in an international friendly at Red Bull Arena. We have the Player Ratings.
Germany managed to get a hard-fought win over Czech Republic in the last international friendly of this year. Gian-Luca Waldschmidt’s early opener aided Joachim Low’s side to beat the visitors by a close margin.
Benfica striker Waldschmidt now has two goals in five international outings, following his brilliant performance at Leipzig. This was a very different look for the newly built Germany team under Low. And we could see a generation of young stars implemented.
Debutants Ridle Baku, Philipp Max, and Florian Neuhaus put in great efforts to cover up for the absence of the injured Joshua Kimmich. Moreover, Robin Koch in the heart of the Germany defense shared the Czech Republic threat alongside Antonio Rudiger.
Max made the first contribution right from the beginning of the game with his assist to Waldschmidt. Who in turn diverted the powerful square ball past Jiri Pavlenka in the 13th minute.
The Czech Republic goalkeeper kept on his side throughout the entire 90 minutes. Furthermore, attempts from Ilkay Gundogan and Nadiem Amiri were safely dealt with by Pavlenka to make it a close battle.
