The Reds Devils are yet to make their first signing of the summer transfer window.

Manchester United are preparing to spend their first season under Erik ten Hag.

The Dutchman arrives amid the club’s plans for an extensive squad overhaul. However, the Red Devils are yet to make their first signing of the summer.

“The others seem set and ready, yet United can’t get moving,” Neville tweeted on Thursday.

“[Ten Hag] needs his group together [as soon as possible] to mould them. Bringing them in late will only make it harder for him. [Fingers crossed] it happens soon!”

United have been keeping tabs on Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong for the past couple of weeks. The Red Devils have reportedly entered negotiations with the Catalan side. However, there is a significant gap between the two sides’ valuation of the former Ajax star.

Another main United target is Christopher Nkunku, who spent a brilliant campaign at RB Leipzig last season. According to the Independent, the German heavyweights want £100million for the Frenchman, a valuation significantly higher than United’s expectations.

United have also inquired about Ajax winger Antony, who is reportedly keen to continue his football under Ten Hag. The 22-year-old established himself as a regular starter for the Dutch champions, registering two goals and four assists in his seven Champions League appearances.
