The Welsh star is on the verge of completing his next transfer after leaving Real Madrid.

Gareth Bale has reportedly reached an agreement to join LA FC ahead of the net season.

The former Tottenham star left Real Madrid after nine years to become a free agent ahead of the 2022-23 season. In recent days, reports around Cardiff City’s interest in bringing Bale back to Wales intensified.

However, the winger has seemingly decided to move overseas to continue his career.

According to BBC, Bale will follow Giorgio Chiellini, who moved to LA FC earlier this month.

English sources claimed Bale would most likely return to Wales if the Dragons fail to secure a World Cup spot. However, the national team’s qualification for the tournament tempted other clubs to make bids for the experienced winger.

Bale will reportedly join LA FC when MLS’ second transfer window opens on July 7. The Los Angeles side are currently leading the Western Conference’s table, with 19 games to play.

The Wales captain joined Real Madrid on a then world-record fee of £85m in 2013. Five Champions League and three La Liga titles later, the 32-year-old leaves European football to start a new chapter in his career.

Bale will have 16 days to prepare for World Cup after the MLS final on November 5.
