Craven Cottage was the place where Manchester City visited Fulham in another Premier League match. We got the player ratings.

Manchester City had a complicated visit to Craven Cottage tonight against Fulham, they wanted to win in order to make people forget about the derby. Losing against Manchester United may have been troublesome for Manchester City if they didn’t have the strength to overcome adversity. But this squad bounced back quickly with two dominating consecutive Premier League wins.

Despite a difficult first-half with Fulham parking the boss as per Scott Parker’s request, the Citizens found a solution right after the second half started. John Stones scored the goal that forced the locals to go after the result and opened up spaces to get hurt. Guardiola knew that all his players needed was that opening in order to get a couple more goals on the scoreboard. Parker also knew that he couldn’t get distracted against one of the most powerful clubs in Europe today.

Aguero scores after 417 days.

After John Stones’ goal from a set-piece, Manchester City got increasingly more comfortable. Also, the Fulham defense became more erratic and started making ghastly mistakes near their own goalkeeper. That’s exactly how Gabriel Jesus found the second goal for the Citizens, through a defensive mistake. Before the 15th minute in the second half, Ferran Torres was taken down inside the box for a penalty.

The man of the hour stepped on to take the shot and scored after 417 days. Since January 2020, Sergio Aguero’s name had been absent from the scoring sheets. With this one, he reaches 181 Premier League goal throughout a brilliant career in English football. Everybody at Manchester City’s bench was happy for ‘Kun’ Aguero returning back to normal.
