Take a look at the player ratings from the round of 16 match that took place at the Hindmarsh Stadium in the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Morocco’s first appearance in the last 16 stage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup ended in a crushing 4-0 defeat to France on Tuesday.
France stormed into a three-goal lead inside 24 minutes and didn’t look back. Kadidiatou Diani, who scored a hat-trick against Panama in her last game, continued her impressive form. She broke the deadlock with a 15th-minute header and later made two assists. She first set up Kenzi Dali to score five minutes later after her opening goal, before assisting Eugenie Le Sommer’s goal.
Le Sommer scored France’s fourth goal, and her second of the game, in the second half by heading in a cross from substitute Vicki Becho.
As a result, France have booked their spot in the World Cup quarter-finals. They’ll meet tournament co-hosts Australia, who defeated Denmark 2-0 on Monday, at the Suncorp Stadium this Saturday.
