Let’s take a look at the Australia vs Denmark player ratings from the round of 16 FIFA Women’s World Cup match at Stadium Australia.

Australia booked their spot in the FIFA Women’s World Cup quarter-finals with a convincing 2-0 win over Denmark on Monday.

The Matildas got off to a slow start in the last-16 tie in Sydney. But once Caitlin Foord put them ahead in the 29th minute, there was no looking back.

Australia looked like a different team from that point onward. They pressured Denmark throughout the game and got their reward in the second half with a decisive second goal. Emily van Egmond picked up a rebound from Mary Fowler’s shot and laid the ball out for Hayley Raso to score inside the box.

The goal secured Australia’s spot in the final eight of the World Cup. The tournament co-hosts will next play either France or Morocco in Brisbane this Saturday.
