Former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere is already thinking about his life after football by preparing to accept coaching for the Under-23s.
Former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has acknowledged the fact that his football career might just be over, however, the midfielder does not feel like giving up just yet.
In May 2021, the England international left Bournemouth and has been passionately searching for a club.
However, Wilshere is now thinking about his life after football and wants to undertake coaching with the Under-23s.
When questioned regarding his possible retirement, he told BBC Sport: “I have to think about it.”
“That is why I am doing the coaching. I have been forced into doing it a little bit but I am grateful for the opportunity.”
“I 100 per cent think I can still play,” he added. “I don’t care what people say or write or what they say on social media.”
“I am an honest guy. If I didn’t think I could, I would be the first to say: ‘Enough, I am going to do something else’.”
“But I am almost at the point where I think something different, abroad, might be beneficial to me.”
