The Premier League is only a handful of games into the new season, yet the excitement continues to rise. Some old faces are back, the regular stars continue to shine and new young promising talents have emerged.
So who is the best player in the Premier League? Cristiano Ronaldo and Kevin De Bruyne share the honor in FIFA 22. The Manchester-based stars have a rating of 91 in the game. Tottenham star Harry Kane and N’Golo Kante of Chelsea are joint-third on a 90 rating.

EA Sports has downgraded Ronaldo’s rating for the third consecutive year. The Manchester United forward had a 94 rating in FIFA 19, 93 in FIFA 20 and 92 in FIFA 21. That said, he does sit as the best player, alongside De Bruyne, in the world’s most competitive league.
As previously mentioned, Kane and Kante sit close behind on a 90 rating. Then there are six players – Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Heung-min Son, Alisson Becker, Ederson and Sadio Mane – who are tied in fifth with a rating of 89.
Chelsea’s comeback star Romelu Lukaku is an 88-rated player, the same as Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes and Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling.
Last season’s FWA Footballer of the Year Ruben Dias then leads another group of six players, including Paul Pogba and Jadon Sancho, to boast a rating of 87. City full-back Joao Cancelo completes the top 20 with an 86 rating.
When does the game come out?
EA Sports will release FIFA 22 on October 1, 2021. Those who pre-order the Ultimate Edition, however, can get the game on September 27, four days before the worldwide release.
FIFA 22 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, as well as Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
