Goodison Park was the place where Manchester City visited Everton for a Premier League match on Wednesday. We got the player ratings.

Pep Guardiola’s Man City had another major test of level tonight against the surprising Everton led by Carlo Ancelotti. The Toffees are definitely one of the most important football clubs in English football this season. They have the capacity to defeat any club in Europe with the roster they have. In the Premier League, they are definitely fighting to finish the season in the Top Four but this game wasn’t a great level of measurement.

Regardless of today’s result, Pep knew Carlo Ancelotti could pose a threat to his impressive unbeaten run in all competitions. But this Manchester City side is simply too powerful to beat right now. Should they stay in this dynamic, they might also translate this level of performance to the Champions League. Today, Phil Foden opened the scoreboard with a long-distance shot after a failed cross from Mahrez. But Richarlison managed to equalize the game a few minutes later.

Mahrez and Silva seal the win.

After the break, Riyad Mahrez scored a beautiful goal after a combination with Bernardo Silva. Ancelotti’s squad wasn’t able to hold the result for much longer and allowed two goals during the final half-hour of the game. However, Bernardo Silva’s goal was one of the most impressive of the game.

A beautiful collective combination ended with the Portuguese midfielder’s goal after a one-two with Gabriel Jesus. This leaves Manchester City even higher at the top of the Premier League with 56 points. They are 10 points above Manchester United and Leicester City right now. It’s pretty much a given they will win this year’s tournament.
