Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland will have a tough choice to make when he leaves his current club, he’s torn between two clubs.

Erling Haaland’s appearance in the football world has been swift and many clubs are already looking to bank on him. However, there are two specific institutions that will likely duke it out to get his signature by the time he makes the decision. The young Norwegian striker is still burning stages of his development faster than we’ve ever seen before. But this doesn’t mean he can’t make himself time to think about the future.

The Dortmund board is already planning his possible exit that should happen sometime after the 2022 World Cup. His release clause will activate at €75 million during that year. Their idea is to have Haaland as a Dortmund player until then, but things can take a drastic turn if he continues to move past these stages at the same pace.

His growth is leaving everybody with their jaws on the floor because not even players like Messi or Mbappe were this prolific at that age. Haaland just started his career a couple of years ago and he is already considered one of the best strikers in the world. The numbers don’t lie. This is one of the biggest reasons two clubs already have their eye on him.

Torn between Manchester United and Real Madrid.

That’s right, two of the wealthiest clubs and with the biggest traditions are after the Norway international. On one hand, Haaland has Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils. His compatriot was the first manager who gave him a chance to become a professional at Molde. On the other hand, he has Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid. Or we must say, Florentino Perez’s Real Madrid because ‘Zizou’ might not be there when Haaland comes.

The Athletic recently revealed that Manchester United is willing to pay for both Haaland and Jadon Sancho next year. But Los Blancos are still one of the clubs that will go hard after the striker. He has the ideal profile that suits the Spanish giants and the necessary talent to remain there for the next decade.

For the striker, making this decision will be the hardest thing he will ever have to do. Although it is an exciting choice, he does have to reject one of the biggest clubs in football history. It will all depend on where he truly wants to play: either the Premier League or La Liga.
