Ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League match against AFC Ajax, Erik ten Hag previewed facing Erling Haaland.

Erling Haaland is the talk of the town right now as Erik ten Hag just got aware during the AFC Ajax press conference. We all know how much the Norwegian striker loves scoring goals in the Champions League. He is the youngest ever to reach 20 goals in the tournament and a true sensation. Out of all the young talents who are playing right now, he is the one who could actually reach Cristiano Ronaldo’s record when he retires.

But for Erik ten Hag, Haaland is not the only player that AFC Ajax must worry about. The Dutch giants are set to play against the German squad tomorrow at Johan Cruyff Arena. It will be the UEFA Champions League’s third match inside Group C of the tournament. Although Haaland is the most exciting player of this game, Ten Hag did his due diligence with the rest of the squad.

Ten Hag highlights all the other Dortmund players.

Fully knowing that Ajax has a great chance of winning tomorrow, he still decided to pass all the pressure to his opponents. As per AFC Ajax’s website, here’s what the Dutch manager had to say: “We don’t play against Erling Haaland, but against Borussia Dortmund. I find it an insult to the other ten players how you speak about Dortmund. Borussia Dortmund has an excellent team with a good striker. We don’t have one specific player who has to stop him. we do as a team.

“We have worked out a plan, it is now up to the players to implement it. I already said it in the draw; Dortmund is the favorite in this group. As a Dutch club, we need to know our position. But I don’t think any club likes to play against Ajax. You feel the appreciation and recognition that Ajax has commanded historically, but certainly also in recent years. We are a dark horse that teams respect, although there will always be certain teams that are favorites against Ajax.”
