The Three Lions won both their warm-up matches and will look to make a perfect start to their Euro campaign on the weekend.
England “don’t fear anybody” at Euro 2020, insists Kieran Trippier as he hails the collective strength of his side.
The Three Lions were rather disappointing in the previous edition of the European Championships as they were dumped out of the competition in only the first knockout stage following a 2-1 defeat against Iceland.
Gareth Southgate’s men will certainly look for redemption this time, and their first shot at it will be on Sunday when they take on Croatia, who broke their hearts three years ago in Moscow.
Owing to the abundance of talent in the England squad, many expect things to turn out differently this time – and Trippier is hoping his side can go “a long way”.
The Atletico Madrid defender told Goal: “I feel like as a team we don’t fear anybody.
“We know what we can do as individuals and as a team, but there’s fantastic teams – France, Germany, Spain, Holland, Italy – so we know it’s going be a tough tournament but we just need to focus on ourselves.
“We know how good we are as individuals and as a team and we’ve got experience, youth and hopefully that can get us a long way.”
