Let’s take a look at the UEFA Nations League match between England and Denmark that took place at Wembley Stadium in London.

The England National Team had a very important UEFA Nations League match against Denmark this evening. They needed a victory in order to establish themselves in the top position within Group 2 of the A sector. Gareth Southgate decided to mix things up a bit from the start against the Danish, something he would eventually regret.

For this match, we rather give you our ‘Flop of the Match’ award from the start. Harry Maguire’s first-half decisions made England lose the game at Wembley, plain and simple. The Manchester United defender proves he might be going through the worst moment of his career after getting sent-off during the first half.

Harry committed two reckless fouls, but the second on Dolberg was absolutely infantile. From this moment forward, Denmark was able to find entry through a penalty kick that Eriksen transformed into three valuable points.

Schmeichel denies Mount for the win.

Despite playing with 10 players for the majority of the 90 minutes, Gareth Southgate’s modifications nearly worked for England. The Danish needed a perfect night from both Kjaer and Kasper Schmeichel in order to save the victory. Leicester City’s goalie had the biggest moment of the evening after saving a header from the Chelsea youngster.

But we also have to highlight Kjaer’s defensive prowess throughout the whole match, he was unplayable for all England forwards. This result leaves the English with the same 7 points they had at the start of the game. It also gives Belgium the lead inside Group 2 of the A sector.

You can be sure that Harry Maguire will have a hard time going to sleep tonight after another horrific evening. If all that wasn’t enough, Reece James was also sent-off after the final whistle for arguing with the referee.
