Let us take a look at the Player Ratings for the UEFA Nations League group A fixture between Portugal and Sweden.

Liverpool man Diogo Jota outperformed Sweden’s eleven at an entertaining UEFA Nations League fixture at Estadio Jose Alvalade.

Portugal received a free opportunity in the 20th minute of the game. Subsequently, Manchester United defender Ruben Dias lobbed a 50-50 ball towards the final third for Portugal.

Consequently, Bruno Fernandes received the ball with his sublime touch guiding it towards the goal.

Meanwhile, Diogo Jota having seen the opportunity made a run for Fernandes’ through-ball. He then passed the ball across the Sweden defense to Bernardo Silva. Evidently, the City forward slotted it past Olsen with ease.

Jota steals the show!

In the 44th minute, Joao Cancelo crossed the ball into the box only to receive by Jota. The striker showed no mercy by slamming a half-volley past the goalkeeper to make it 2-0 for Portugal.

In the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo, the Liverpool striker wrapped up the game vs Sweden. In a turn of events, Jota received a long through pass by William Carvalho. He then raced his way into the Sweden box to power it past Olsen yet again.
