The Red Devils won’t host an end of the season award ceremony after their horrific 2021-22 campaign.

Manchester United players have reportedly asked the club to cancel the season awards ceremony for the current campaign.

The Red Devils will register their lowest points tally in the club’s history after the 2021-22 season wraps up on Sunday.
After missing out on a top-four spot, United have put their Europa League qualification in danger.

Cristiano Ronaldo and co will be forced to play in the UEFA Conference League if they lose against Crystal Palace and West Ham manages to beat Brighton on the league’s final matchday.

According to Mirror, United players have asked the club to cancel their season award ceremony due to being embarrassed by the team’s recent displays. Players reportedly feel it is too awkward to go on stage and receive prizes after such a dismal campaign.

Although the annual ceremony will not take place, the club will most likely ask their supporters to vote for the Player of the Season. Ronaldo, who has scored 18 Premier League goals for the Red Devils, is the number one favourite to possibly win the fan award.

United fans eagerly await the arrival of Erik ten Hag, who will take over from Ralf Rangnick this summer. The club will most likely undergo a summer overhaul under the Dutchman, with a host of first-team players leaving Old Trafford.

Let’s see if the Red Devils will manage to bounce back from their disappointing 2021-22 campaign next season.
