Paulo Dybala revealed an inside battle that has been going on with his Juventus teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Paulo Dybala has publicized that he and Cristiano Ronaldo are fighting a battle to net 100 goals for Juventus. Both the stars are extremely close to the century landmark having stayed like that for longer than expected.

The Argentina international is one short of the milestone, whereas the Portugal all-time great has three more to go. Unfortunately for Dybala, injuries interrupted his efforts to reach 100 goals for Andrea Pirlo’s side this season.

Along with the setbacks, the 27-year-old faced immense competition for a spot in the first team. Moreover, Dybala’s agreement has not been extended yet and will expire in 2022. His recent goal came during Juve’s game against Napoli on April 7.

With Bianconeri winning the game 2-1, Ronaldo was also successful in finding the target inching closer to the century. Dybala spoke on Twitch regarding his tussle with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

He said: “Ronaldo and I are challenging each other to reach 100 goals with Juventus. I need only one, while he still needs three.”

“He always wants to win, even in training, and if he loses he becomes difficult to deal with for a few minutes.”

Juventus still has seven more fixtures left to play in this season. Six out of those are Serie A matches and one in the Coppa Italia final against Atalanta on May 19. It would be interesting to see how Ronaldo will prepare himself to beat his teammate, wouldn’t it?
