The Argentine attacker is said to be unsettled at the Allianz Stadium after finding himself on the periphery of the team in recent times.

Andrea Pirlo has played down the talks of Paulo Dybala’s exit from Juventus insisting that the player remains ‘fundamental’ to his plans.

Struggling for form and fitness, the 27-year-old forward’s minutes on the pitch has been greatly limited this season having started in just five of his side’s 13 Serie A games this season.

The Argentina international is entering the final 18 months of his current contract. Juve are working on renewing their prized asset, but it appears making advancement in negotiations is taking too long.

Dybala, as a result, is linked with a move away, and Manchester United have supposedly reignited their pursuit of him.

His absence from Saturday’s 4-0 win Serie A over Parma only fueled the transfer rumors, but Pirlo informs that an injury had kept him out.

“Absolutely. Champions like him are always fundamental in strong teams,” the Juve boss asserted when asked if Dybala was important to him, via Goal.

“I train all the players. Dybala is one of them. His behavior is great.

“Unfortunately, he’s got this little injury, and yesterday he tried to force it, but he was worried he would hurt himself even more. We hope to have him back on Tuesday.”
