It happened during a press conference earlier today, Dortmund’s sporting director made a shocking transfer confession.

Borussia Dortmund seems to be in trouble with their possible transfers for this summer as their sporting director just revealed. After a full year of the coronavirus pandemic, all football clubs around the world had massive losses. The German squad was no different as Michael Zorc just revealed how much they lost this year. After this shocking revelation, it’s almost inevitable to think they won’t sell their two best players to the highest bidders in order to recover.

Both Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho are closer to the exit door than ever before. The only way they will stay is if Germany magically reinstates allowing fans inside the Bundesliga stadiums. However, this seems like a long way ahead with the Covid-19 pandemic still raging in Europe. Vaccines are simply not fast-enough for this to happen yet, which gives both players the leverage they wanted.

Zorc hints at Haaland and Sancho’s exits.

Dortmund’s sporting director, Michael Zorc is preparing the terrain for the club’s final decision. Both Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho could bring nearly €300 million to the club if they decided to sell them this summer. However, that number would decrease dramatically if they wait one more year. Mundo Deportivo picked up the following statement from Zorc: “If we have to play with no public for the rest of the season, as it seems, we will lose between €80 and €90 million.

“That income will never return to the club. We need to act quickly with that in mind. I don’t see any need to establish limit dates with the transfers right now. In regards to Erling Haaland, I’ve said it three times before. We have a very straightforward position and we’ve told the ones involved already. That’s all, for now.”
