The German midfielder is understood to be on the shortlist of the Gunners who are seeking to add creative talents to their ranks.
Borussia Dortmund are yet to receive any offer from Arsenal for Julian Brandt, says Michael Zorc.
Uncertainty has surrounded Brandt’s future at Signal Iduna Park in the January window with the player linked with a move to the Premier League.
He was an unused substitute in the 2-0 home win over Wolfsburg, which only acted as fuel to his transfer rumors amid apparent interest from Arsenal.
The midfielder, who scored seven goals and registered 10 assists in all competitions in 2019-20, has struggled for form this season.
BILD reported earlier that Dortmund are willing to let the 24-year-old leave on loan should an attractive offer comes along this month.
“A name is constantly being mentioned that actually doesn’t play a role in our deliberations at the moment, that should come to an end,” the BVB sporting director said in response to Brandt’s transfer talks ahead of the Bundesliga match against RB Leipzig, via Goal.
“I can only repeat; there is not even the slightest bit of anything on the table. We can’t do anything if rumors are constantly being spread that are not true.”
