Borussia Dortmund have once again put out the notion that Jadon Sancho will not be leaving the club this summer.

For the second time in less than a week, Borussia Dortmund have publicly stated that Sancho will remain their player next season.

The 20-year-old is attracting strong interest from Manchester United. The Red Devils are reportedly keen on bolstering their attacking options ahead of next season.

Amidst the long-standing interest in Sancho, the German side made it known that they had no intention of selling their prized asset this summer.

To cap it off, the England forward also spoke on how happy he was at Dortmund, hinting that he wasn’t pushing for an exit as reports claimed.

Regardless of the Bundesliga side’s stance, some pundits and footballing figures still believe it’s all bluff. In fairness, it won’t be the first time Borussia Dortmund have said they will keep a player only to go on and sell him. This was the case with Ousmane Dembele and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

However, Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has further stressed that they meant what they said with Sancho.

“We are Westphalians,” said Watzke in an interview reported by Goal. “We agreed on this rule, which Zorc explained on Monday. For a Westphalian, definite means definite. Jadon will play with us for the 2020-21 season. There is no room for interpretation.”

Manchester United must now decide whether they will try again for Sancho next summer. Or perhaps they could forget about him and look to alternatives instead?
