During a recent interview, Angel Di Maria bragged about the stars he played with at a club level. He expects to play with one more of them.
Angel Di Maria’s career has been quite wild in terms of the players he shared a locker room with at every club. When he started his career at Real Madrid, he was sharing time with Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, and more players. At PSG, he shares the dressing room with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. However, there is one player who still hasn’t played with him at the same club.
Although ‘Fideo’ already shares time with Leo Messi in Argentina, he is gushing at the chance of playing next to him at PSG. If that happens, Di Maria confirmed he could retire happy without a problem. It’s still uncertain what Messi will do with his future, but Di Maria is already waiting for him with open arms and an ‘asado Argentino’ waiting for him in Paris.
Di Maria would love to play with Leo at PSG.
During an interview with TyC Sports, Di Maria said the following: “I had the opportunity at one moment in my career to go to Barcelona but it was not done. We could say that there is another chance to be able to play with him but my contract is coming to an end and I do not know what will happen. But I would be very happy to play alongside him. I have already played with Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe. If I could play as well with Leo, I could happily retire after that!
“My wife told me, ‘if Leo comes, we will at least stay and you will make him a barbecue’. It would be the best. I could not ask for anything more in football. I am focused on what we can achieve this year. There is a new coaching staff. I am only focused on impressing them. I do not have the anxiety of when you are 25 years old. I handle it very calmly and I enjoy life day to day.”
