It has been suggested that the Frenchman could be moved on from Camp Nou, although he is enjoying a great 2021/21 season.
Ousmane Dembele assures he is “happy” at Barcelona but has refused to rule out a possible departure from the club.
The winger has managed to nail down a regular berth in Ronald Koeman’s setup this season, making 40 appearances across all competitions so far.
He has had a hand in 9% of Barca’s total goals in La Liga, with five goals and two assists to his name from 26 matches.
Things have not always been, however, smooth for him during his four years with the Catalan giants. Recurring injuries and consistency issues have hindered the development of the player who was signed for a hefty €130 million from Borussia Dortmund.
Many attribute his fitness problems to an unhealthy lifestyle, but the 23-year-old has dismissed those suggestions.
“You can’t play for Barcelona for four years without a healthy lifestyle,” he told beIN Sports, via Marca.
Dembele added on his situation at Barcelona: “Now I’m playing well, in the dressing room they call me Eto’o, Messi helps me a lot.
“I’m happy at Barcelona, we’ll see what happens in the future.”
