During his presentation as the new Holland manager, Frank De Boer outlined his main objectives for the upcoming challenge.
Frank De Boer was recently announced as the new Holland manager for the next couple of years. The Dutchman was presented by the federation on Friday and discussed what he has in mind for the squad. In hindsight, the initial sensation is that Frank has no intention to drastically change what Koeman was already doing.
The new Barcelona manager was actually doing a fantastic job with the team but he had to follow his dream. This opens the door for a new prospect who has a very familiar feeling with the Dutch national team. Koeman was coaching Atlanta United before he took on this job and doesn’t have the most glowing resume.
However, what he lacks in experience he has in respect for his country. The new coach has a plan of allowing the young generations to write their own story in this squad. He doesn’t plan to tamper with everything that was already built. We can expect continuity from De Boer and a similar style of play from the footballers.
Frank De Boer’s plan for the Netherlands.
The main idea is to keep dominating as they did with Koeman, he wants to compete for the Euros and the World Cup over the next two years.
“I believe we have a beautiful future,” said Frank during his presentation in Amsterdam via The Washington Post.
“Ronald Koeman and the men next to me started that a few years ago,” he added.
“We have a good squad, good staff. I was always a player who demanded the maximum at training and to try to finish as high as possible. I have that as coach, too.”
“We want results and, of course, in the most beautiful way if possible,” De Boer added.
“At the moment, it looks good. I think we have players with the quality to do that.”
“I’m convinced I can be a good coach. I have my own style and identity and I will always keep doing that,” he continued.
“I’m not a copy of somebody but I share the same line that Ronald started.”
