Telegraaf just reported that Frank De Boer is set to become Ronald Koeman’s replacement as the new Netherlands’ National Team coach.

The Netherlands just announced Frank De Boer as their new head manager. After Ronald Koeman left to coach Barcelona, there was uncertainty on the Dutch national team. Nobody had a clue to who would take the hot seat in one of the most talented rosters of international football.

This squad managed to reach the UEFA Nations League semifinals last year and completely dominated on the road to the Euros. It was clear that the man who would take this daunting task would have to be someone with enough experience. But we were all surprised by the eventual decision that the Dutch Football Federation came up with.

Telegraaf just confirmed that Frank De Boer is the man chosen to take the job from today until the 2022 World Cup. The former Dutch player was currently coaching Atlanta United from the MLS, which is a big leap for any professional coach.

De Boer’s biggest challenge in Holland.

Frank De Boer has the daunting task of getting one of the most talented Dutch generations to the Euro 2021 final. Ronald Koeman did all the dirty work for him before he arrived at FC Barcelona. This leaves major doubts about De Boer’s chances to impress.

Having players like Frenkie De Jong, Matthijs De Ligt, Virgil Van Dijk, or Memphis Depay should make everything easier for Frank. Telegraaf reports that De Boer will travel to the Netherlands this weekend to be presented as the new coach. He will also take full control of the squad early next week and he will be part of the next international break. A new era un the Netherlands’ national team has begun under Frank De Boer.
