David Luiz was pleased with the Gunners’ 4-1 win against Molde in the Europa League. In particular, he was impressed with youngster Joe Willock.

David Luiz marked his return from injury with an appearance as Arsenal strolled past Norwegian side Molde FK.

The Gunners fell behind after an early goal but two own goals gifted them a comeback before Pepe and Willock rounded up the scoring. The 4-1 victory sees Arsenal comfortably go three points clear in group B and puts them in a good position for qualification.

Joe Willock caught the eye yet again and put in another brilliant performance. He had a similar performance last time out against Dundalk and also got on the scoresheet as well.

Speaking after the game, David Luiz made sure to praise the youngster for yet another impressive outing.

“It’s always great [to see him perform well],” Luiz said to the club’s official website.

“Not just Joe but everybody, it’s always great because sometimes you don’t have a lot of minutes to show your quality but now you need more than just 11 players, you need more than that because we have many competitions, many games.”

“It’s a difficult level and everybody has to be available with the right mentality to contribute positively to the team.”

Luiz was also glad to get back on the pitch after a short time on the sidelines.

“It was great. You never like to be out so I owe it to myself to come back working and I felt very well. It’s always great to be on the pitch because I really love the game”

Arsenal will look to build on their win when they take on Aston Villa at the weekend. The Villans have lost two successive league games and will be eager to put out a response.
