Ronaldo could miss the weekend’s clash with West Ham as Ralf Rangnick reveals striker is struggling with a neck issue.

Cristiano Ronaldo could miss Manchester United’s clash with West Ham on Saturday after he picked up an injury in the win against Brentford.

Ronaldo was substituted by interim coach Ralf Rangnick during the Brentford game – a decision he did not appreciate. He was caught on camera, sitting in the away dugout, asking Rangnick for an explanation on the substitution.

And now, the United boss has revealed that the Portuguese suffered a neck injury during the game and spent several hours on Thursday getting treatment.

“Cristiano is a question mark because he has a problem with his neck,” he told MUTV.

“He received treatment yesterday for two to three hours and we will have to wait to see how he feels today.”

The Red Devils could be without several other players, including Jadon Sancho, Victor Lindelof, Paul Pogba, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, and Eric Bailly. Edinson Cavani is also a doubt for the all-important top-four clash.

Rangnick added: “Edi hasn’t been training with the team yet and will hopefully resume training today and then we’ll take the final decision after the training session today, [around] if he will be available for the game tomorrow.”

United are currently seventh on the Premier League table, two points behind the Hammers, who sit fourth.
